THE SUE POOLE AWARD

FOR INNOVATION IN DOMESTIC ABUSE WORK

The Sue Poole Award for Innovation in Domestic Abuse Work is provided by the family of the late Sue Poole in her memory. Sue Poole worked tirelessly to support adults, young people and children affected by the impact of domestic abuse.

Suffolk Domestic Abuse Partnership is pleased to support the Award, now in its 4th year, and to encourage individuals and agencies to develop supportive interventions that reduce the harm experienced by victims/survivors.

The Partnership are keen to recognise individual or organisational innovation, achievement and commitment in developing and maintaining projects, initiatives and solutions for victims/survivors of domestic and other forms of interpersonal abuse.

Suffolk Domestic Abuse Partnership is keen to recognise individual and organizational achievement and commitment and is pleased to support the Award, now in its 4th year, and to encourage individuals and agencies to develop supportive interventions that reduce the harm experienced by victims/survivors.

The winner of this year’s Sue Poole Award is Melanie Yolland. The Panel of judges reviewing this year’s applications were impressed with the inspirational creativity, tenacity and resilience shown by Melanie in her voluntary role as Deputy Chair of Mid Suffolk Domestic Abuse Forum. In a short space of time Melanie has helped shape a successful forum able to support local men and women with creative innovate projects that have the ability to make people stop and think about domestic abuse.
The Suffolk Domestic Abuse Partnership would like to extend its thanks to everyone who applied for this year’s award and for their continued support and hard work in the area of Domestic Abuse.
